Hey Toodlebug-
I decided to write you a note since you are now 18 months old. Can you believe it - you've been around for a year and a half!!!!! We love you so much, and you currently are in the stage of copying everything we do and say (we have to be careful - today Chip said bonehead and crap - which were repeated by our little echobox!!).
You watch and try to copy everything!!! (See the Swiffer and purse pictures above). You are trying to master golf, so you can accompany daddy on the course next summer. You love your milk - even though you still drink it from a bottle - I know- bad, bad parents. Why do you love water from your sippee cups, but only want milk from the bottle - and not the gallon jug shown above. We'll try to adjust that in the next few months. You love music, and your baby dolls, and especially Malibu. Whenever I let Malibu outside, you make sure to bring me the towel to wipe her paws (since we have had snow for awhile), afterwhich you go to the cabinet and get Bu her treat. You also love feeding her - and this includes food which is meant for YOU to eat!!!!!!
You are into purses, in fact you tried to take my new Coach purse from Daddy at Christmas. That was not happening - so you have my 12 year old Dooney and Bourke one you like to carry around. You also have a plastic Elmo one you love, but the one more like mommy's is usually the one of choice.
You do something that makes us laugh each day!!!! Today I was trying to get you to say family - and you started singing the Barney song- I love you, You love me, we're a happy family!!!! Nothing gets by you. You are onto us that we can play the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show ANYTIME you want, thanks to TIVO. I had to record several new episodes this weekend so I don't have to watch the same one over and over. You love to blow kisses and wave good-bye to everyone, especially when daddy goes to work.
I can't wait to see what the next six months brings - hopefully not the beginning of the terrible twos!!!! We love you lots!!!!!!! Mommy
Future Musician?!?!?!?
Lindsay got a piano, and a combo trumpet/saxophone for Christmas. She loves playing with them, and she also shakes her booty to any musical tune she hears!!!! We went to a Gymboree class for the first time this week, and they offer music classes too - so I think we are going to sign the chicadee up!!!
Baby Mania!!!!!
Lindsay is currently very into anything that has to do with her two baby dolls. She has baby Alice, a preemie Cabbage Patch doll, and her new doll which her cousin Katie gave to her, we call baby Betsy. My brother Ross and Chip wanted to call the new baby Buella - but Lindsay and I voted no!!!!
She loves to cuddle and rock the babies. She loves to feed them, and take them for rides in the stroller and wagon (like I used to do with Lindsay when it was above freezing outside)!!!! She is very much taking on the roll of a little mom - I'm wondering if she is sending us signals that she is ready to help with a baby brother or sister!!!
Beautiful Baby Contest
My mom is a big fan of the show 'Live with Regis and Kelly' - which is currently holding their Beautiful Baby Contest. My mom has been encouraging me to enter Lindsay this year - we couldn't participate last year since we did not live in the US. So- we've been trying to get a good photo of the girl's best assets (curls and eyelashes). We had a banner photo session one morning, and I got all of these shots. Let me know which is your favorite - I can't decide!!!!
Say Cheese!!!!
We have been staying warm with our second, and now third, big snow storms. Lindsay was prepared this time with her purple coat, gloves and hat. She insists on wearing her sunglasses though - because daddy wears his - since the snow is so bright!!!!
She still loves dressing up, jewelry, and of course Malibu!!!!!

I just counted 67 pictures!!!!
I just scanned through all of my blog entries from today (catching up for three months) - and there are 67 photos. Hopefully that makes up for us not blogging for awhile!!!! Good night!!!
Christmas 2006
Christmas day was filled with fun!!! We started off opening presents at our house- with just our family. Lindsay was getting into unwrapping things - but it was a little overwhelming for her I think. We headed off late morning to have a big family meal and present exchange at my brother Bob and his wife Susan's farm. The meal was fantastic, and we had a great holiday.
Can you believe I did it!!!!!! I am caught up on blogging for all of 2006!!!!!!! I'm tired- so the few pics I have from January will have to wait!!! I had a snowy Sunday, and Chip agreed to watch Lindsay - so we accomplished blogging for 2006!!! We promise to try to update at least every other week if not more often - and to not go too long between blog postings now (are you happy Christopher?!?!?) Happy New Year to everyone and we'll write more later!!!
Christmas Eve!!!!!
Christmas Eve was wonderful. We went to church at 4pm (it was so nice to be in church again for a candlelight/communion traditional service). Jonathan and Grant took Lindsay to the front of the church for children's time - and she was a star - did great. After church we headed to my sister's husband's parent's house for a traditional Polish dinner. The food was wonderful, and then Santa made an appearance. Lindsay was in awe of Santa, and liked his bells. She would get close to him, but did not want to log any lap time!!! Santa brought her a puzzle, and she was getting a little sleepy during his visit, so we had to put her reindeer PJ's on. Santa flew off to visit other families and she wondered where he had gone? The last event of the night was some milk on Daddy's lap - and light's out!!!
Christmas Lights and "THE BOYS"
We did not get our outside lights up right after Thanksgiving due to our St. Martin trip. Then it snowed when we got back - so it was mid-December before we actually got our decorations up. Lindsay's favorite part I think of the whole holiday was "THE BOYS" - Frosty and Waddle the Penguin. She loved them!!!! Each morning if she got up and they were not inflated we were promptly told to "BLOW", and then she would start waddling around by the front door. They pretty much stayed inflated 24/7 for a month. She was very sad when we took them down, and still occasionally asks where Waddle and Frosty went. She'll see them again next year!!!
Mom's 70th Birthday Party
We all went out to eat at the Hereford House for my mom's 70th birthday. I got a photo of everyone (except for me - funny how that works). It was a good time with family, and mom had a banner year with her 70th birthday and having celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary in June!!! Well done mom (and dad too on the anniversary part)!!!
Chip's Office Holiday Party
I have decided not to put Chip in charge of picture taking at any major event anymore!!! We came back with only two photos of his party - and they were both of people wearing this Eeyore holiday hat!!!! We did have my sister take a few of us before we left, so since we rarely dress up I figured we would post them.
Cousin performances!!!
Lindsay was excited to see cousins Grant and Jonathan perform in their winter school programs. Grant's third grade musical was called Snow Biz (he is the boy with the black and white plaid shirt and red hat on). Jonathan had his band concert, he plays the trumpet. He is the last row of seated musicians, second from the left - playing the trumpet. My camera needs a better zoom - sorry the pics are far away!!!! Great performances boys!!!!
