Up Up and Away

We're no rocket scientists, but we're guessing that this is not supposed to work like this...........

Just kidding!!!!!!!!!

Lindsay was given a Lil' Tikes airplane swing when she was born. She's getting big enough that we thought we'd go ahead and put it up so she could give it a whirl. Unfortunately, we don't own a swingset (or have a yard for that matter), so we thought we'd try it on the balcony. While we were planning on where to put it, we realized that it we would need to buy some additional items (i.e. some additional sailing or dock line to hang it at the appropriate level). We went ahead and drilled the holes to mount the hook screws, and then just for fun, hung it up using the parts supplied. Debbie couldn't even reach the swing!!

We've taken it down, so the neighbors don't see it and report us for child endangerment!! (like anybody cares about that down here, though).

Oh yeah, the kid's mobile......................she started crawling this week. Now the fun really starts!!!

Shopping Carts, Nilla Wafer boxes, and Crazy "Bebe" Hair

We had a funny day yesterday. Lindsay helped me run errands in the morning - and she sat in the grocery carts for the first time!! She did wonderful - totally loved it!!!! She at one point wanted my shopping list, so I let her HOLD it. Not so much holding she did - EATING was more like it!!! I had to remove several chunks of paper from her mouth - and then try to remember what was on the rest of my list!!!!

We came home and she took a long nap after her busy shopping morning. I decided I wanted a few Nilla Wafers and some milk. I was happily eating my snack, and Lindsay wakes up. She does a double roll across our bed (yes, I was letting her nap on our bed) - and attacks the Nilla Wafer box. It was like a WWF move!! She was trying to eat the box!!! She had no interest in the cookies - just the box. I snapped a few photos of her with her new "toy".

The rest of the day progressed as usual, and we had our bath before bedtime. I did not think Lindsay's hair had much wave to it, but as I was toweling off her head - we found she had "crazy bebe hair" - a term coined by Cousin Mason. Check out her do!!!

That's all for now - it is pouring rain here at the moment - which probably means my mom and baby walking morning is not happening. HMMM... maybe we should go shopping again!!!!

Another month older!!!

Lindsay girl!!!! You are 8 months old today. We can't believe it!!! You have grown so much this month. You don't yet refuse to sit in your bouncy seat - but you have to be sitting up in it now - not laying back and relaxing. You sit straight up through your favorite half hour DVD - very intent on watching the TV (which daddy is very excited about). He hopes that means you are going to love watching TV as much as he does!!! Especially sports!!!

So far you have one favorite video - Baby Genius (not implying anything)- Favorite Nursery Rhymes!!! You also have found cartoons interesting from time to time - and boy did we watch a lot of cartoons while cousin Grant was here!!!

You are definitely showing your little developing attitude now. You have definite likes and dislikes as far as food and fun. This past week you decided you were not going to take a bottle anymore - not fun for mommy!!! Hopefully this is just teething related, and will pass shortly. You do not have any teeth yet - but I think they will arrive in the next month (I've only been saying this since you were four months old). You are getting so close to crawling, bouncing back and forth on your knees - I think by your next month birthday, you will have run me ragged chasing you around the house. You are our precious baby girl and we love you so much!!!

You are getting very good at standing while holding onto something, and you are working on pulling up on things. You've had several small sicknesses, and mommy and daddy survived them - oh, and you are okay too!!!! I think you want to be the dog - you make a noise which sounds like barking, and your smile has gone from open mouth, to one where your tongue sticks out!!! You also love to squish up your nose and breath hard - like the dog sounds when she pants. You are a funny little girl, and we love you lots - happy 8 month birthday!!!

Day on Extreme Machine

Here is the Pasowicz family in the water ready for their second snorkel of the day!!! Don't they look cute in their masks of many colors!!!!

Debbie and Lindsay sneak in a cuddle in the captain's chair. Lindsay was mainly interested in chewing on the chair otherwise!!! Here is a photo of Lindsay with Chip that we managed to snap where she was not adding some slobber to the chair.

With cousin Jonathan

Fun was had by all!!! Lindsay did really well on the boat - the whole first deck is shaded and we even warmed up her peas for lunch in the pastry warmer on board!!!! Here is a Harris family photo - we did not manage to get one of all of us (Pasowicz and Harris families) together - but I think we managed to get a photo of all of us on this blog entry.

Throughout their stay, we also managed to do some shopping, take in a full moon party, go to a craft fair, do 3 beach visits with boogie boarding, and go to The Baths in Virgin Gorda. Busy Busy!!! Hope they had a great time - we definitely enojoyed having them. Lindsay says bring on the next round of visitors - who is next???!!!!

A house full of fun!!!

We have been super busy the last few weeks, starting with Lindsay going to St. Thomas for a vaccination on March 4. We took her to the doctor (everything checked out great), had lunch with friends, and did some K-mart shopping (always a good time). The day was great until Lindsay got tired on the trip home. Pictured here, with all of our bags, you can tell she had had enough!!!

The next evening we picked up Aunt Deann, Uncle Tim and cousins Jonathan and Grant from the airport. They came for a 2 week stay - and lots of fun took place. First, a common occurence for most of our visitors to sit out and relax on our balcony. The first morning Lindsay took part in the fun with her new sunglasses on!!! Daddy and Uncle Tim look cool in their shades too!

We logged a few pool days at the beginning of their trip (Deann was a little under the weather from a stomach virus she picked up from one of her little patients- so we did not venture far). It was fun - Lindsay loves the pool - the water is a good temperature - not too chilly like the ocean is right now.

Cousin Jonathan was a great helper with Lindsay. Here we are in the baby pool!!!

Lindsay was modeling her pink bikini poolside!!

We took a day trip on Extreme Machine, a large power catamaran from Patouche Charters. Here are some cute photos of the day!!!

Jonathan and Grant in their snorkel gear!!!!

I will post more photos later - I've had enough of the computer acting up for the day!!!! Something is going awry when uploading the photos - so will try to add more pics later. Sorry for the delay!!!
